Client and context

A SIP panel and timber frame building construction company needed a new presentation website, which should also include a public tool for users to get price estimations based on the parameters they input.

Problem / Challenge

The company previously had an outdated website, with poor website performance, layout and responsiveness. Additionally, they needed a new website functionality for users to be able to get price estimations.

My Role

I worked in a team comprised of me as a web developer, a stakeholder, the client’s marketing manager and a freelance designer. I presented the technical solution to the team and I worked closely with everybody involved to build the website according to the guidelines of each party.

The Solution

I built the new website on the WordPress platform, paying close attention to performance and the indications from the designer.

• I continuously tested the website performance and made performance improvements by leveraging WordPress plugins and custom code.
• Built the presentation web pages, according to the design.
• Created a custom WordPress plugin for price estimation.
• Implemented multilanguage functionality (RO/EN/EL) in all website areas.

Outcome

The site launched in under 3 weeks and the team received it very well, praising the accurate replication of the Figma design in the final website and the good website performance.
